Janet has a passion to support mothers and their families with infant feeding which led her to specialise in this area. In Chester she set up the Infant Feeding Team at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Under her guidance, the unit achieved the Baby Friendly Accreditation in 2010 and has retained it to date. This award is a nationally recognised mark of quality for care given to babies and mothers. She has also trained more than 100 breastfeeding peer support volunteers, who have all been active in the hospital and local community.
Her huge range of experience and expertise is a real asset to new mothers having difficulties or concerns with their new baby.
